The spellr.us team are excited to launch a stable production version of the spellr.us system - spellr.us v2.0 - this launches 26 February Australian time (sometime in the morning).

As a fun exercise in the wisdom of the crowds we want to ask the spellr.us fans  how long you will think it will take for our first commercial customer to sign-up with spellr.us - 1 hour from launch? 5 days? 20 minutes?

Let us know your predictions in this blog - the person that is the closest will win a $US100 Amazon.com voucher.

BONUS: If you are the closest predictor time wise AND get the plan choice to match with the first customer we will up the Gift Voucher to $150!

    I think that it will take 8.5 hours from launch for you to have your first credit card paying customer! I think it will be for a 24 hour plan.

    Are employees (including family members of employees) allowed to enter? ;)

    If so i’m betting less than an hour from launch to ka-ching. Let’s say… 55 minutes.

    Given that this is the smartest thing to happen to website quality assurance in…well, forever, I think it will be five hours or less until someone signs up for the Leopard package.

    Congrats to David Einstein of http://www.portraitkingdom.com/ who provided the closest prediction. We received our first paying customer at 10:45am on Friday 27 February. Approximately 22 hours after launch. David was the closest. We haven’t though quite reached his second prediction of 1 new sign-up every 10 minutes though. :)
